- I write fiction (two novels, a bunch of short stories), something I call “rambles” (my twisted views of the world around me) and some really bad poetry (hey, I never claimed to be a poet). I read my work every month at the Screening room where I was featured in July 2008. I can be heard reading my stuff on thinktwiceradio.com, just click on the Screening Room, I’m the only Blue there. My short story “A Wizard’s Hands” is in the recently published anthology Nickel City Nights: Erotic Writing in Western New York (get your mind out of the gutter, my story is just a description of a guy playing guitar). Other than that, I collect rejection letters and I plan to wallpaper my bathroom walls with them because that’s the most appropriate place for them. Besides writing, I’m also an artist (I draw and paint the old fashioned way, without a computer), I play drums (not very well, but very loud) and dabble in photography and a few crafts. I live and breathe music, which is the inspiration for much of what I write. I like hockey (I’ve been a Sabres fan forever), I’m into the paranormal, I think Nikola Tesla is the greatest inventor of all time, and I’m obsessed with trains (I LOVE the sound of trains at night). And I always listen to the voices in my head especially when they wake me at 5 a.m. Oh yeah, did I mention that I’m nuts?

I had no idea there was an asshat convention in Buffalo and I certainly would have never expected it to last two weeks. There was no media coverage at all. You would think it would rate national coverage. This is important! We need to be aware of these things so we can stay safely in our homes and not get stuck driving behind the asshat parade. I’ve just now realized I’ve been a social slacker for far too long. But I do have an excuse, hand written on the back of the envelope from my phone bill which makes it official I guess. To make it even more official I wrote it in crayon. It’s amazing what you find to write on and write with when you have to write something down in a hurry. I have a phone number written on a drug store receipt and I’ll be damned if I know who’s number it is. Couldn’t have been important.

I take back all those nasty things I said about my neighbours. Okay, maybe not all of it, I still think the woman living next door to me is the antichirst. I said, "No, I'm not Blue, but I know Blue. She's in my writer's group!" The woman ended up being Tania, one of the gurus who runs this site. I take it as a HUGE compliment that she thought I was you.
