it was a 3-way trade: we got a 2nd-round draft pick in exchange for kotalik, then traded that for dominic moore from toronto.

SABRES JUST ANNOUNCED THEY TRADED ALES KOTALIK TO THE EDMONTON OILERS!! we also got telquist as a back up goaltender. and there was one mor etrade made but didnt hear all the details on that.

guess connollys stayin in buffalo he just signed a two yr deal with the sabres.

They need a goalie. If it takes trading Connolly to do that, then that's what it'll take. But AJ, if they do trade him, who takes his spot on the roster? Would you play Jochen Hecht at center, a position he's failed at all year? Connolly is worth more on the team to finish out the season than he is in a trade, unless it's a deal we ass-rape the other team in (like getting Dominik Hasek for Stephane Beauregard). But I doubt that's going to happen.

No trading Connolly in my deadline day bracket. I think we deal Max and Henrik Tallinder. And we pick up a goalie and some draft picks.

Really is Connolly that good? Yeah he's flashy, but the most he's ever had is 16 goals in a season. His career total is only 81 goals in 467 career games. I think right now his stock is high and you should trade him. I don't think he's even scored since Vanek got hurt.

i agree we need a solid offense. but keeping connolly whos always injured is a waste of money we could pay someone else who can put the puck in the net. yes hes been solid but how many more games is he goin to be around for?as for afingenov hes been cleared to play but ruff wont play him.i seriously doubt buffalo will make any moves come wednesday.
