Kevin - What sixth book? The Salmon of Doubt? That was written by compiling a lot of Douglas Adams notes from his beloved Macintosh. If you like Douglas Adams, check out Starship Titanic written by Terry Jones... yes, THE TERRY JONES of Monty Python's Flying Circus that he coauthored with help from Douglas Adams.

I got my wife hooked on H2G2, and she's a big fan of the books now, and the movies... Mos Def as Ford Prefect, sheer genius! Wait until I show her the BBC production. :)

wicked was fantastic! as was the musical, but since this is a book group, i'll keep my broadway obsession to myself lol :) definitely my favorite of greg maguire's; confessions of an ugly stepsister was another good one.

I just finished the "wicked" series by greg maguire which wasnt bad. I didnt like the ending (which im obviously not gonna say what it was) but other than that they kept me zoned in pretty good. I would have to say my favorite set of books (or 1 book depending on how you bought it) was douglas adams' "hitchhikers guide to the galxy" and all the others that went with it. anyone who sort of liked the movie in any way will probably like the books. I guess some other british writer got paid to write a 6th book to the series but i dont know how thats gonna turn out.

I'm a fan of Robert Asprin's Mythadventures series. The author recently passed away this year, but I'm awaiting the book that was finished before he died that his co-author Jody Lynn Nye (wife of Science Guy Bill Nye) wrote with him and finished up. I spoke with Ms. Nye in Email several months ago to send my sympathies on the passing of Mr. Asprin, who although I did not know personally, I shared many of his interests and many in the SCA knew him as one of the founding members of the Society for Creative Anachronisms as Yang the Nauseating. Jody assured me that she intends on writing another MythAdventures book and would like to carry on the series in Robert's honor.

I'm hoping that Aahz and Skeeve won't fall silent for long.
