Help BuffaloME select a Charity

  • Rating: 3 after 3 votes
BuffaloME has been fortunate enough to grow to well over 1200 members in 6 short months because of all of you. To celebrate our success BuffaloME will be donating $1 for every new member that signs up in the month of February to a charity that YOU choose.

To select a charity simply leave the charity's name as a comment. We'll be selecting a charity based on a combination of merit and popularity.

My nomination for a Charity is Cradle Beach summer camp www.cradlebeach.org

**UPDATE
The charity you chose was Foodbank of WNY

With the present economic conditions, I suggest the Food Bank of WNY or Buffalo City Mission.
I nominate Gilda's Club WNY.
Great idea! Thank you.

My nomination is the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns which is based right by GM off of river road, we have lost many many grants over the past few months due to the economic conditions in NYS and are struggling right now to stay open and have recently cut back our staff hours, staffing and our club hours which has a ripple affect on us providing a safe place for the neighborhood kids to go after school

food bank of wny

I think Cradle Beach would be good.
Buffalo Food Bank. I volunteer with one of the many food pantries that place gives food to. My mom is the director of that food pantry and she has to deal with the food bank every month.

And if that's not acceptable (not sure why it wouldn't be), what about Meals on Wheels?
MicroBiz Buffalo, Inc. Ask around.
i'd say either the food bank or summit educational resources/body>
Keep the community educated about the dangers of drinking and driving. I nominate Crusade Against Impaired Driving, Inc. I established it in memory of my sister, who was killed by a drunk driver more than 10 years ago.

Thanks for thinking of CAID!

General Mills is considering a YOUTH FITNESS PROGRAM that will actively approach the obesity epidemic in this region of the state, it may not be a charitable choice that hits the core of our biggest issues that need support- rather it will focus on the children who will be positively impacted by a local program in which they will hopefully give back to in the future.
