Buffalo International Film Festival has arranged for the rarest and most valuable Walt Disney art in existence to be displayed at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery between 4PM - 8PM Friday, April 3, 2009.
These original storyboards from "Plane Crazy" the first-ever Mickey Mouse cartoon were drawn in the Spring of 1928 by Ub Iwerks in collaboration with Walt Disney. These are -- literally -- the first story-telling drawings of Mickey Mouse ever done.
Nearly priceless, they are being brought to Buffalo for only 48 hours by Michael Carbonaro, comic historian, before they go on permanent display in Baltimore, MD at Geppi's Entertainment Museum.
There will also be a sit-down dinner for only 10 people in The Muses restaurant at 6:30 with John Culhane, Special Disney Guest for the April 4 Mickey Mouse Spectacular. Dinner reservations are required and a minimum donation as well.
